Geoffrey was another lad who although not born in the Dawley area, actually been born at Leicester, would have been well known in the district due to the fact that he was the only son of the Rev. George Parmiter of Doseley Vicarage.

Geoffrey was serving with the Motor Transport section of the ASC in East Africa when he contracted Enteric fever from which he died from on the 11th January 1918.

His body lies interred at the Dar-es-Salaam War Cemetery in grave VI.H.11
